Car Parts

OEM Accessories, short for Original Equipment Manufacturer, is the label given to authentic car parts. They are the original manufacturing company for the parts that were in your car to begin with.
Why get OEM Accessories, when there are plenty of other ones on the market that are cheaper?
As with everything, there imitation companies. They will copy the product so perfectly that to the untrained eye, it looks the same. However, to the one who knows about car parts, the difference is obvious. Imitation car parts are not made with the same level of quality goods as the original. At the start, it may seem all fine, and good, however after a while, it will noticeable that it does not function as properly, and will wear away faster.
Sometimes you will find that car parts come with a different company name, yet are still OEM Accessories. How can this be?
Different companies can order and sell the same product under their own name. This is allowed. Therefore you can have the same OEM part, but with different company name labels on them. Often this will affect the price, but the main thing to look out for it that it is a genuine OEM Accessory.
The way the economy works is that the rarer an item, the more expensive it is. The more of that particular item available on the market, the lower the value, and therefore the cheaper it becomes. Thus, manufacturing companies will produce many of the same OEM Accessories, sell them to different car parts companies, who in turn will stick their own label on the car part. This keeps the economy, up, without cheapening the OEM part.
It is essential for your vehicle’s health and safe driving, that you purchase an authentic OEM Accessory. It will save you a lot of time, and money, not to mention aggravation in the long run. For some things in life, an imitation is good enough. With cars this is not so. At the end of the day, a car is not just a convenient mode of transport, it can transform into a deadly weapon. Cars that are kited out with car parts that are not of the highest quality, will cause the car to malfunction, which could lead to, G-d forbid, a road accident.
It is essential that you look carefully, and are sure that the product you are buying is the real thing. If you are uncertain, or don’t really know enough about cars and their parts, it is very important that you speak to someone who does before purchasing a spare car part. Any good car mechanic, car garage will be happy to help you and advise you properly.
